Review of the BBC's Little DorritBBC Little Dorrit Period Drama
Last week saw the conclusion of the BBC’s adaptation of Little Dorrit.
I absolutely love a good costume drama and Little Dorrit didn’t disappoint.
Not being an expert on the time period it is set in i can’t judge how accurately things were portrayed but in terms of entertainment Little Dorrit certainly provided.
The acting, the settings, the costumes and the plot all came together wonderfully and there’s not much that could have made me happier with the series.
The only qualms i have, and they’re minor ones, is that it may have been stretched a couple of hours too long, and it would have been better to have one hour-long episode every week rather than two half-hour ones.
Otherwise i thoroughly enjoyed Little Dorrit and whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genre.
Now i’m eagerly looking forward to this Sunday’s Lark Rise to Candleford Christmas Special and the new series next year.
